A warm welcome awaits you at The Shelfords Women’s Institute.
We have a varied programme, with talks on a wide range of topics – from bomb disposal to sparrows, straw plaiting to beer, bees to making the most of yourself, chocolate to a lady plumber. We also have craft sessions and activities, like line dancing, quilting, singing and handbells. Most important of all, we offer fun, laughs, tea and friendship.
We enjoy meeting and including visitors and new members. Remember, you don’t have to join the WI on your first meeting, so why not come along and give us a try.
If you would like to take part, please contact our secretary.
Thank you to The Shelford Feast
We should like to thank The Shelford Feast for their generous gift of a grant from the 2024 event. We have purchased a SumUp machine to help with cashless transactions and plan to use the remainder for a number of special events over the coming year that would not otherwise have been possible.
The Shelfords’ WI have supported the Feast by running the tea stall for many years and plan to continue this cooperation in the future.
We meet on the first Thursday of the month at 7.30pm in the Community Room, St. Mary the Virgin Church, 12 Church Street, Great Shelford, CB22 5EL. (See map.)
